Hello. The Village of the Arts was mentioned in an article about Anna Maria Island. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks Rick! Great website. I've been spreading the word myself. I know I need to work on my profile pronto. I'm the asst manager at Keeton's Office & Art Supply and would love to add this website to our artist page. If you would like to send me the link to Natashaj@keetonsonline.com I would love to do and send the word out viva our e-newsletter "The Nook".

Hi Rick,
This is a wonderful idea, bringing all our artists together. Don't know how many people are aware of the Artist's Market at Art League Manatee, not to mention the better than ever shows . Thanks for your welcome, Judith

no problem, Rick - just thought it needed to be cleared up in case it was indicative of something more troublesome.

thanks!

Okay - scratch #3 - I see now that it's back!

Okay - 2 things:

1) When I go to my page on the Bradenton site, all the linked graphics that are normally on the right, are on the left - and kind of squashed, cut off. They push the profile graphic down below them. This doesn't happen on the Sarasota TVB profile page - likely because it's set up differently - and there are only ads in the right column.

2) When I log on to AA and go to my page, all the linked graphics have returned to their correct positions in the right column, but just above them there is an anomalous floating rectangle button which says "Reset". It's positioned over the line that says "Village of the Arts Links" and directly to the left and down just a bit from the "Edit" button. I've played with it but it does nothing when clicked. I've tried some editing in that box to no avail. And it always gets stuck with the little circle spinning endlessly until I close the page and return - and usually any edits have taken. Again, this isn't an issue on the Sarasota profile page.

3) I've also noticed that the "Who's Online" button has disappeared from the choices on the Sarasota page. That may be a site-wide change you made - but just thought I'd mention it.

that's it. nothing major. a few little annoying things. I have put my page link out there though - and know that the b'town page appears to be a slightly askew to anyone who's dropping in to AA who isn't a member all ready.

cheers!

Doug

I appreciate the kind words as well as the introduction. You have created a fine way for people exclusively living in our area to communicate.

Hey Rick, I just noticed that something weird is going on with my page. When I'm logged in on my page, there is this floating "reset" button over in the right column at the top of my "Village links" section. It doesn't seem to be governed by the grid in the level below it. Then, when I log out and look at my page, everything has moved around and seems to be in the wrong place. Somebody hacked me? Or just glitches in a new system?

I like it! Would likely spur some interesting discussions. I like the mix of art and activism, too. I'm heading to the Creative Cities Summit for a few days, but will check the museum's schedule and see what we could do. I like the idea of coupling it with Realize Bradenton, too! Great mix!

Wow, sorry I didn't reply sooner- time just slips by. Thanks for the compliment and most especially for inviting me to speak. It was a lot of fun, the group was great!

Also, I love the dance social idea. I'll have to talk to my better half before rsvp-ing. In that vein, I would love to take your lead and have a film social at the museum. Any ideas on what film might be a good crowd pleaser?
