I am a native Floridian, born and raised in Tallahassee. I moved to Bradenton 24 years ago though, so it is "home" now. After many years of coordinating fundraising events and doing development work, I now have the fun job of writing the "Social Scene" column for the Bradenton Herald.

Some "artsy-crafty" stuff, mainly fiber and mixed media. Someday - when I have more time - I want to pursue this more seriously. I like to read and I tap dance. (Thank you, Bonnie!)

My favorite way to experience Bradenton and Manatee County the way locals do

Well, I am a local so just daily living is my favorite way. Running into neighbors at the Westgate Publix, meeting friends for lunch, etc. However, my favorite thing is to experience Manatee County like the tourists do and rent a house on Anna Maria for a week or two in the summer.

Since I attend events and parties for a living, I don't think I can name a favorite. I like them all.
