Hi!
I called Bill this morning and told him about writing to you on here. That would be great if you went to his shop. They just opened up a few months ago and he works pretty much all the time!! Has to get there at 3 am--UGH!!!!!!!!! He was suprised! What are you up to? I write and do art and work at Manatee Memorial Hospital. Do you have kids? Bill has Indya--she's 13, and Zoey, she's 16 months.

Hi Jerome,
Do remember Bill Thompson, that used to play the bass? I am his older sister, Leslie. Bill and his wife just opened a doughnut shop on Main Street in Sarasota, it's called Buddha Belly. Are you still with the symphony? I'd love to hear from you and I'll tell Bill you are on here!

Call to Musicians from the Village of the Arts
The Village of the Arts is looking for Musicians and Bands who would like to play for our Fall/Winter/Spring Events Season. The Village holds Artwalks the first Friday night and first Saturday of every month. We also have many other events planned for the coming season.
Generally we place bands at various locations throughout the Village during an event. We have portable stages and electricity for your use. We like to place individual musicians inside, on a front porch, or in a back garden of various Galleries through out the Village. We encourage musicians/bands to bring your CDs and T-shirts to sell to the public and set out a tip jar, bring lots of business cards and any other information about your music/band to hand out to the public. This is a great venue for upcoming new bands and individual musicians to get your name out to the public.
We currently have a small budget allowed for a 4 piece band for the October Artwalk, Friday October 3rd, 6:00 - 9:30 pm. We are also looking for an upbeat Latin band or Mariachi band for our Latin Festival in November.
