Obviously, my ulterior motive is to stir up interest in the portraits of homeless individuals in Manatee County painted by Elayn Leopold, and the cooperative project we have initiated in concert with Art Center Manatee and the Artist. Poets and other writers, will respond to her artwork, and participate with the Center at the opening of her work in November, 2009. This week, we will begin to post the work of writers on the site where 40 photos of her 100 portraits can be viewed.
